headers?

i know i sound like a idiot some one probly ask this question 10 years ago but i got a 96 dx and need to get headers what are the best headers . i dont know if ex headers will work i don kow if they got too o2 sensors pluse i know i got to get a cat converter

thats its fuck it then imma polute then i not wasten money.... so there wont be no some or nuttin ...but i wont pass my essions test right or is there a way i can pass it

A cat is just what the name says - a catalyst. It completes the combustion for molecules that haven't completely burnt (like carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide, etc.) by lowering the activation energy of the chemical reaction. The reason they add back pressure is that the gases have to contact the metal honeycomb inside the thing to make it work, so there has to be a lot of surface area and hence there's lots of metal in the way of exhaust flow.

yeah dc is good...but to save money...compare the inlet and pipe diameters to those on cheaper headers...like ractive...they're all mostly the same shyt in my experience...a ractive header will produce similar...if not the same power gains as a dc...and for about half the price

I agree, I went with the Ractive header and I personally was impressed. Its almost the same damned thing as the DC.

hey ok then u got me pal ill chang it jist for u my shit is a work in progress and people over here cant drive so i woop they ass
all i got is intake exhust 50 shot stage 2 clutch , flywheel some othere little shit... i got a t25 turbo but i wont install it untill i get some pistons.
dont get it twisted im not a slow car just not 14 well not today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heres my opinion... i have a ractive cat-back (hold your scoffing) because i was told (by my knowledgable autopartsstores of america employee) that it was the only exhaust system for my dx sedan. turns out there are no exhaust systems for my car but who knew.. anyway.. i got it for a nice price but i had to get a pipe made to close the gap between where my EX midpipe ended and my DX exhaust mani started... so now the other day i look under my car and this is what i see... ractive muffler=fine... ractive midpipe=rusted to the point where if i tap it rust falls off... except for the resonator in the middle... and the pipe i had made was fine... so that tells you something about ractive's quality.. inconsistent... but i may just buy the ractive header only because im going turbo in about 9 months anyway and i dont need anything special... sorry this was another ranter

I agree, I went with the Ractive header and I personally was impressed. Its almost the same damned thing as the DC.

they look the same on the outside on the inside is another story.i have a ractive header and i port matched to the exhaust ports, on a stock head!!
i compare it with a dc sports header and the dc sports is better in every way,just look at the inside of a ractive header and compre it to a dc and youll see the diference!!

however the best header for a d is the bisimoto

My Apex'i header came with an o2 sensor extension wire. It's just plug and play. I'll sell it to ya if you want/need it.
