I took the head off of my D15b VTEC and was wondering if I should put some oil in the cylinders to stop rust.

yep a thin coat just put it on with your hand

edit: im guessing your pistons are out as well? if the blocks gonna sit with the oil pan and pistons still connected you can just seal the top up air tight

Probably a a week or two. So just a thin coat around the cylinder walls and on the piston right? I'm getting the valves checked to see if they are bent and gonna be waiting on a headgasket and some head studs.
