so i hookd up a relay for my HIDs and used the factory switchd power and workd for a while then one day blew my factory relay.. just wondering if any body knew wer that exactly is on a 97 ex. THnaks

should have put the relays onto the headlight circuit.

double relay setup, that way you don't tax the factory wiring system. Besides you should have blown the 10 amp fuse before hurting the headlight relay.

and likely I've lost you, it happens.

OK, since to the best of my understanding HIDs don't have a hi/lo beam no need to worry about all that. Use the low beam circuit AT the factory headlight connector to trigger a Bosch Relay coil, which would give power to the HIDs.

Double relay = OEM Headlight relay triggers the Bosch Relay.
