I am not 100% sure, but you guys can probably help me. I started rebuilding my head yesterday. Im guessing most people will say buy some ARP's. However, how bad would it really be if I reused my stock headbolts?

It's a d16y8 head. Not too sure on how badly the bolts stretch. Figured ya'll could break it down for me. Thanks.

Just so long as the motor won't be seeing any boost, I personally believe you'll be fine. I've un-torqued and re-torqued a single set of SOHC head bolts up to 4 times on the same motor, w/o issue.

it MIGHT be fine but is it really worth risking?

i've seen alot of people do it, i personally wont re-use a TTY head bolt.

hell some people have gotten away with re-using head gaskets, cheap asses.....

Did some research. Looks like honda pre stretches head studs. Nice! Thanks guys. It's definitely not gonna see any boost or anything for a very long time. Think I will be good.

HAHAHA...If I ever said "lets re-use this head gasket" it would definitely be a joke...gross! This definitely made my night though.
