I was wondering if a d-series engine has ever been put in a motorcycle? I dont know why I was thinking about that but I am sure it has to been done before.

A Quad 4 huh? That's got to have been an awful lot of work for questionable results. I understand they make things like the Boss Hoss, but they are definitely not my idea of a motorcycle. (not quite a big enough lean angle ;)) Most motorcycle engines are more compact, have internal transmission, and have a high output/liter than an automotive engine since they were designed as a motorcycle engine in the first place.

I guess it's like anything else, there's always someone who wants to be different. Someone may have even done a D-series powered motorcycle, although I can't imagine why. I think I'll stick with the simplicity and light weight of my air/oil cooled bike for now.

Does a sandrail count?
Is there a sand rail D though?
:td: Not a bike, but a great use for a D-series! I don't know about D-series, but there's some Honda powered rock crawlers around too.
