i got a datel tool battery for my slim.. pretty good i mean for ten bux it's cheaper than modding a legit sony battery and i'm not sure if sony even offers slim replacement batteries yet but nobody had em when i was getting.

still haven't hacked it tho because the slim offers a lot of decent shit. great gui and web is easy to use

the psp runs ps1 iso/cso's perfectly. ff7 works just the same as on the big tube.
to locate the roms or cso's just search through your average emulator site which are plentiful in.....

I'm running the 3.71 firmware and love it. It's got a couple of emulators, but I just use it to play ISOs and CSOs. Best little handheld gadget out there. Plus you can get the PSP GPS receiver (for like $50) and use it as a navi system in the car!!

Damn... just found out PSP can run MAME. I think it's finally time to buy a slim.

Anyone know just how fast MAME emulation is?

Does the slim have that horrible ghosting problem the original had?

the mame emulator is kinda limited in the games the are working right now. but just like most mame emulators, updates happen on a regular basis.
slim should have the same screen as the phat, so whatever ghosting problems that nag you should be the same. doesnt bother me though.
the slim is the one to get with its larger ram.
