Gripforce Clutches Came Through! Parts are here!

Got my Gripforce Clutch kit today and it meets all my expectations! Insert happy dance <here>. Everything is exactly as they promised, was packed well, and they're genuine Exedy (aka Daikin) parts. Yay! I'll be installing it next weekend and will post pics and probably a DIY of the install. Yes I know a clutch DIY has been done already, but I haven't done one and want to. Anyway here are the pics. I snapped pics of the whole pieces and then the actual Exedy branding. All this for $425 shipped! I probably saved $150-200 by buying from these guys. +1 for Gripforce Clutches on Ebay!

The advertised picture from the Gripforce auction on Ebay.

What I actually received. (the same thing).

Disc, pressure plate, bearings and alignment tool.

Pressure Plate closeup.

Flywheel.

So all in all I'm a satisfied customer. I expect this to perform just a Stage 1 full-face organic Exedy clutch and 11-pound flywheel should. I'll know next weekend when I install it!

I ordered my ACT HDG6 from Gripforce and it aught to be here soon. I saved a good $50 by ordering from them.

So where are you stationed in the UK? I was at Lakenheath and my wife was at Mildenhall for four years. It sucked, I hated the Brits.
LOL - I'm down at Molesworth. This is a little better than Germany, but the food and beer are worse. Damn Limeys got me for 426 quid for speeding on the A1 too. I mean really, what's the big deal about 45 over?

Glad they (Gripforce) saved you some money. I'm happy as hell with my setup - put it in last week - and almost done with the break-in process so I can start playing around in the fun part of the tach.
Well, I ordered the same setup foos did, just shipped out yesterday, so we'll see how good it is. Glad to see you are happy with your so far...

LOL - they did! 28 day suspension <shakes fist>. I threw myself on the mercy of the court. What was funny, was that since I have a military license, they said "Well, we can't physically take this away from you and log it in the DVLA system, but you aren't allowed to drive on any British roads for 28 days." I was a good boy and didn't.

That would have been nice prior to buying, but looking at my pics - too late to check the parts now that its installed - I got a real one. Thanks man!
good stuff! glad you are satisfied :TU:
England owns.
Hey could you send a better pic of your shifter? I'd like to see who it compares to the Revo. Thanks man.

I know the clutch install was a decent sized job....

but I hope you consulted your manager and allowed her to assist if possible.
My daughter did the jack work for me when I was under the bonnet(hood). Im glad it is working good for you.:TU: :TU: :TU:
Not on the clutch install. That wasn't difficult enough for her. She'll help with the turbo install and also when I build a new bottom end!
This seems like a good place to add this:

I've got the same thing speedfoos ordered, got about 2000-3000 miles on it, and it's great. I checked the parts against Ryans imitations PDF and they are legit as far as I could tell.

Did a 500 mile break in, no slipping at all, engine runs fine with the FW, drives great minus other shit I need to fix. :D I would definitely recommend this kit.
X2^^^

I'm at about 900 miles and love the hell out of it. Very grunty and its really nice with my new engine stiffy. I think I need stickier tires now though! I will give a better review once all my turbo stuff gets here and I can install it though.
