I am going to the dyno on Saturday, they have a dynopack or something where they attach to the hubs.

Apart from oil and water is there anything else they need to know like gear ratios?
Do they pull in 3rd gear?
Any tips welcome cos I am there to tune cam timing to see which one produces the most power. Now it is set at 0 degrees though with 1mm shaved off the head..pulls great at the moment.

yeah I'll do mine in 4th, its more load on the engine so I'll be getting longer pulls = more a/f resolution

basically more dyno time for the same ammt of money

With a loading dyno you can change the ramp rate to accomplish the same thing...i would imagine you can do it on a dynapak (sp), i know you can on a dyno dynamics

On a dyno pack its not so important as to if you use 3rd or 4th unless for the above stated reasons, however on a roller type dyno some high power cars will smoke the tires in 3rd so they have to use 4th.
