Turbo charging your car is the only way to get rid of that rasp. I see no other option. lol

Does your car have a resonator in that video? If not I'm sure the vibrant unit will suffice.

i had a dynomax straight through oval muffler, and even though its a straight through design it cured all of my rasp and left only a deep rumble like a v8.

It was actually too quiet on my turbo setup and i took it off for a borla exhaust.

So I have come to the conclusion that adding something like this can help with drone and rasp. Very interesting.


I am understanding it basically as the same concept as blowing across the top of a beer bottle to give the desired pitch you want.

Just read on Import Tuner that Helmholtz resonators can acutally aid in exhaust scavenging and give some power gains as well if done properly. Here's a link.
