Hey, my name is charlie, im new to the site, I have a 92 sedan, midnight black lowered on skunk2 2.5 inch drop springs, currently im running the stock d15b7 with an cold air intake and exhaust, The motor works amazingly good, the only downside is, well it burns about a litre of oil every 4 days, it smokes like a bastard at high rpms, I dont understand the motor works really really good, I pulled on a 92 hatch with the same motor, / mods, and a G2 teg, no jokes.

Anyways, here what i have,

i just bought a d16y7 for 30 bucks out of my friends 96 hatch, doesnt smoke a drop, This is the combo im going to be doing

D16y7 block
d15b7 head
d1y8 headgasket, to up the compression.

My co worker is a mechanic, hes going to be guiding me along the swap, I have every tool imaginable for use.

I was wondering if there may be any problems i would run into with this setup,
On the dseries compression calculator it says itl be running 9-1 compression?

let me know, thanks alot! or any suggestions too
