Nice write up. :TU: I did this upgrade a while back and its a noticeable improvement and very easy to do.
If you run a quality 9005 bulb like Sylvania Silverstar Ultras or something similar, you don't really need to use the high beams much any more. Just make sure they are aimed level and not too high with a brighter than stock bulb.
