This build has taken a long time to get going, but it is finally finished. This car has a lot of sentimental value since it is the first car that I ever owned. It is a 2000 Civic EX and I have had it since 2004. The chassis has 265,000miles on it, so its seen plenty of use.
I started this build with a block and head from the salvage yard, and started building a little at a time. This was originally going to be a Vitara budget build, and at one point I changed direction completely and started going towards N/A. After some contemplation, I finally just went for the turbo build since that was my original plan and I would probably be disappointed with N/A power.

The components list is as follows:

Block:
D16Y8
D16A6 Crankshaft
SRP 75.5mm 9.0:1 Pistons
Eagle H-beam rods
ACL Race Bearings
Golden Eagle Block Guard
Stock, non-ported oil pump

Head:
D16Y8
ARP head studs
Stock Camshaft
Omni-power flat valves
Crower springs and retainers

Turbo:
Go-Autoworks A/C Street Kit
Garrett GT28
2.5<3 inch downpipe
3inch exhaust

Fuel:
Walbro 255lph
IN900 injectors
B&M FPR

Transmission:
S40-K4F
OBX LSD (7 years with no problems)
Driveshaft shop 2.9 axles
LSD Dragger Clutch
Competition Clutch lightweight flywheel ~11.5lbs

Tuned on Hondata S300

Here's what can happen when you install the distributor 180 degrees off. This is the Delta 260 that I WAS going to use. I went ahead and grabbed the stock cam from the old motor.
Why rails on trailers suck!

nice build what took so long to post it? my advise is to get rid of that timing cover and pick up a clear one if you really want to see that cam gear. i need to sell my wastegate or make some sort of adapter so i can rotate it, i burned a hole in my ac line because the dump tube was against it

I wanted to wait until it was finished before I posted. The engine has actually been together for about a year or so. I was able to move the A/C line forward a bit, and I went ahead and wrapped the dump tube with exhaust wrap also.

I've never seen a car that looked just like mine with better paint.

Rather nice build though. I intend to do essentially the same with mine.
What exactly makes his car look just like yours, is it the fact they are both black coupes? They look nothing alike but that could just be me :uh:

Okay, it's the only one that resembles mine. You know, kinda giving me a finished product way to look at my car. But it's cool, rain on my parade.
Other than the paint, the exteriors are pretty much identical (except for the tint, wheels, headlights, tail lights, ride height, window visors, pinstripe, sidemarkers, brakes, and wheels)
By the way the ride height is pretty much the same.
