Hey guys I am planning on running a t25 on my D16Z6. I was wondering If I use DSM injectors in conjunction with the fields Vtec controller if that would work out alright. Or would you guys reccomend a VAFC or something like that?

Field can maximum lower fuel curve to -30%

http://www.field-net.co.jp/english/lineup/vtec/op.html

so with 450 DSM it might too big for Field to lower it. Especially on idle.....

Mine with 450 DSM and VAFC 1000-2000 I start to lean it out in the beginning @ -37% now -36% car run smooth

So if field lean 450 DSM only -30% it will be too rich to idle smooth

Most of Field setup I have heard they go for 390cc DSM (Auto DSM Turbo)

This culculation tip might help you decide.....for good match for injector

And here for setup of people that use Field (mostly found in HomeMadeTurbo)

How much boost can the stock injectors handle? I can get some 390 cc for cheap and would those work pretty good with the fields controller?

exactly right.... although the program is free the parts need to chip are not, but they run cheaper than a vtec controller... i'd just use one of those programs...
True. But where IM @ there are some many people that tune there own stuff you dont need to buy it Just "borrow it" :) But yea if you have money for SAFC/VAFC you can afford a chipping kit, and just read DIY on PGMFI.org to figure it out and eventually like anthing you will pick it up. Then later down road you can make money doing it..

how exactly is the VAFC no good for tuning turbo, if it is adjusted properly using the math in one of those links above, it seems like it would do basically the same as a chipped ecu would do. Please don't rip me apart either, just asking because i have a VAFC that i got for free.

When using your AFC to hack by making adjustments you are playing w/ fire. Timing and Ignition are abig key w/ boost, and not being able to adjust that w/ in ECU is killer to life of motor on hack.. When you adjust AFC you are not only changing fuel % but advancing your timing which is no good.

Does a FMU do the same thing as an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

I know that you can do that but I can't find a shop around here in NC that tunes crome (what I really want to use) or uberdata, just that expensive Hondata. I was thinkin bout getting the VAFC-II to "get started" i guess but if I can find a shop I'ma go that route unless their outragous. I don't wanna tune myself cause I don't wanna mess with all that laptop and chip burning stuff. Do you know who I can buy a P28 already chipped with a base map from?
