Yes but the title wasn't about DUAL :hammer:

In this case it is talking about the Voice Coil..

I bet this is the one he's talking about...

what kind of sound are you looking for? if your looking for a cleaner sound then the l7 isnt for you. check out MTX. Lots of bang for your buck and a good clean sound.

I have heard many people have good results using Fi subs, believe it or not. The only issue was a QC one - a fella had his sub missing the actual mounting holes on the subwoofer basket. Most likely Fi will be replacing that.

Kicker was great in the heyday (90's), but has since lost it's way (IMO). I really got skeptical when they came out with their square subs (never mind distortion and breakup, look at this CONE area!).

JL Audio W3's and Alpine's type R's are also good, inexpensive alternatives.

I had two 12" Kicker CVR's that had really good sound, hit when you need them too and just sounded really good. Recently went to three Alpine 12" Type-Rs and I am still on the fence. They can punch really hard but they dont seem to carry a note very cleanly. The Kicker's seemed to hold deep bass tones longer. I cant disagree about JL though, they are definitely one of the best if you can afford the W6 or W7.
