I am in the process of Building and turbo charged F2D setup for my EG hatch. I am not going the traditional way with a kit. I am making everything my self , and changing the position of the engine and trany to get better hood and frame clearance . I have the engine located where i want, but ground clearance may be an issue. the oil pan and trany hang down about even with the cross member.

Can any of you experienced engine swappers give me your feed back on how much ground clearance I should have for a daily driver?

Doesn't it depend on the state of the roads you usually use?
Also, think about how soft your suspension and shocks are. Too hard can be just as bad as too bouncy.

I was looking at a friends D15 and it is even with the cross members in it's factory location. I am thinking I am pretty good.
