yes it will work.
you will need to weld the flapper shut on your internal WG, and then get a manifold that accepts an external gate

you are going to need to drill a 35mm hole in it and then weld a WG flange to the manifold itself. not the best method, but it can be donei have greddy cast manifold, will the tial wastegate still work? and is this gonna be pretty hard to do? thanks guys, keep the response coming.
yeah probably my internal wastegate is sufficient enough for my turbo right now. but an external wastegate is easier to turn up the boost by chaging springs and i wont have much boost spike with it.You can do it, but the internal gate i9s fine for how small of a turbo you have.
you can change the boost by using a manual boost controller. With such a small turbo, its probably easier and cheaper this way. heres one from blaast performance for 20 bucksyeah probably my internal wastegate is sufficient enough for my turbo right now. but an external wastegate is easier to turn up the boost by chaging springs and i wont have much boost spike with it.
You would still need to get the internal gate welded shut, but I don't think the 15G uses a T3 flange. So you would need a differant turbo, but that's not always a bad thing.well my buddy is willing to throw in the d-series manifold with a T3 flange(from his old turbo) and the tial wastegate flange, so i guess that should solve my problem. just wondering when we i put in my buddies new manifold...do i still need to get this welded? or is this just a straight bolt on to my setup?

That's a lot of work for no gain, you'll run out of turbo before you need an external gate on a 15G.or you can weld your external WG with a separate pipe on the internal WG port, and keep your stock GReddy manifold.
the 15G uses T25 flange
I'd go with the T3/T04E over the 15G. I'd also get a D16 to build while I'm at it. You shoulden't don't more than 10PSI on the 50 trim and your at the edge of what your motor can handle.PARAZZI said:well my friend is willing to throw me a good deal if i also get his turbo with manifold and the wastegate. specs of his turbo is (T3/T4oE 50 Trim .48 A/R hotside) compared to my tdo4-15g. roughly what the max boost/power can the t3/t4 put out more? and if you guys had a choice...would you go for the t3/t4 or my tdo4? oh yeah my engine is a b7. thanks guys, now I am in a real dilemma.
when you said i need to drill a 35mm hole...you mean on my current greddy manifold right? well just confirming. you think i can weld the External WG flange somewhere in the middle of my manifold? or is there a better place on my manifold to put the wastegate? thanks.you are going to need to drill a 35mm hole in it and then weld a WG flange to the manifold itself. not the best method, but it can be done
i see your point there man..is just i am getting such a good deal from my friend for the tial wastegaste, i just cant pass it up thats why, since he really needs the money, cause he is moving. so can i still get the tial welded on my greddy manifold then? You can, but to say it agian, there's no point if your useing a 15G. If you pick up that T3/T4 and manifold then worry about an external gate.
this is one of the reasons, that I really want to get an external wastegate. since internal wastegaste you get boost creep or is it boost spike? sorry cant remember. My greddy internal wastegate creeps like a bitch.
then buy it and sit on it untill you can really use it. I've done that with plenty of parts (and cars..) and it works out.i see your point there man..is just i am getting such a good deal from my friend for the tial wastegaste, i just cant pass it up thats why, since he really needs the money, cause he is moving. so can i still get the tial welded on my greddy manifold then?
