Im trying to buy a cat back exhaust system but at the same time im looking to boost my car. (A 99 LX D16y7) Im piecing together my turbo kit but im going to go ahead and buy the exhaust sytem now so what size should I get that is good to get the most out of about 10psi of boost?

i definately wouldn't go smaller than 2.5". I'm going to use the Kteller 3" system on my car eventually, but right now I just have a cutout.

^ Bastard lol NY Sucks almost as bad as Cali!

2.5 - 3" will be best for a Turbo Application. Keep it with no restrictions and you should be good to go for boost.

Alright thanks fellows but hey just like the guy said im learning a lot so I need a little bit of help so I really appreciate all the advice. But I have a couple more questions for the boosting manics out there, the specialists. I heard that one guy have probs with his clutch slipping after he starting boosting, I have that prob now, should I get another clutch or not. Im not exactly the richest person in the world, so im trying to do everything cheap but the right way ya know. And another question, whats up with a good FMS what do you guys recommend?

my stock clutch gave up @ the line on my 1st 1/4 mile run lmao. you really look like an idiot chillin @ 5 grand at the green and goin knowhere lol. i ended up gettin a act 4 puck, but im plannin on alota power

ohhhh atco im not far from the 206 70 circle. half way between the 2 circles (72). i usually hang out sun nite @ a car meet on rt 38 and 541, mostly domestics but appreceate a quick honda

do the same rules apply for exhaust size when boosting via supercharger.
bigger will be better with the charger, but it's going to be a lot louder than a turbo motor with the same exhaust. I have full 3" under mine with no cat or res and an apex muffler. I have a friend that has a jackson on it running an almost identical set up on his and and it's loud as hell compared to mine.

because your taking out the back pressure from the turbo. your exhaust will stay the same n/a or supercharged, it will quiet with the turbo cuz the exhaust has to spin the turbine
