Hey I just recently put a new header on my 89 civic dx its a 4-2-1 with test pipe an exhaust its a free flow set up it doesn't. Smoke when drivin or idlin but when reved up its smokes than stops I'm not burnin oil or losin anti freeze is that normal?

YOu mean like its smoking at high rpm?

it smokes when I rev it up to a high rpm but than just goes away doesn't smoke while driving at high speed or just sittin there but oil is same level an so is water

An has a raspy growl when reved up buut figured that was from new headr an test pipe with no restrictions

is your head gasket gone? white smoke at high rpm's could mean that. it just might be a rondom thing that just happened to happen when you put your header on. or were you out ripping around reving the shit out of your car testing out your new header :S

No cat does have the stock resonator didn't. Swap head just the exhuast mani to header an no not really evanguy I did a couple times to see how it sounded but noticed it with some friends hanging out gettin ready to race an no if my head gasket was gone id be losin coolant or mixin it with oil an neither is happenin

I am usually good at figuring out what people are trying to say . . . But WOW! I don't know what that meant.

Do you have a working PCV valve or is your PCV system modified in any way?

Oh sorry no CAT converter an has the stock resonator on it. An the pcv valve is on the intake mani right if so ya I replaced it like 3 months ago
