Hi guys, been awhile, anyways i have a noob question here, well it pertains the the 7th gen models USDM. What are EX, LX, etc? If there are more please list them out. In SA we had the 7th gen sold as 150i, 170i vtec & the prime model as a F1.
While shopping online, many shops makes referance to the above & not to the the engine codes.

Many thankz
Brad

Those are trim levels in the US. Honda has used those designations for years.
Typically, and generally speaking, this is how it goes...
Si -Top of the line, sports model.
Ex - next step down, everything the SI has, minus the "sport upgrades".
Lx - mid grade trim
Dx - basic trim level

that sucks,

yes the ep3 is our si hatchback with the k20.

the lx and dx are the d17a1 non vtec, these are just base model civics, power locks is an option

the ex is the d17a2 vtec. this is the fully loaded model with power everything and sunroof.

tell me about it, we did not even get the EK9, though we finally got a type-R, the FN2.

anyways the only Non-vtec 7th gen we have in SA is the D15. than the D17 where all vtec D17a5. you would by a base model & add all the extras. the only model which had all the extra, incld body kit & 17" rims was the F1. sunroof was still an optional extra.

I never said the Si was the same as the Ex.
I was speaking more in general regarding the trim levels...that's how they go, from highest trim to lowest.
The EP3 is the 7th gen Si though and he was asking about USDM models.
Canadian models do differ though.
