Got a d16z6 swapped in my 90 civic wagon and it spun a bearing after a couple minutes of running. It will need a new rod/ bearing and ground down. My old engine was a d15b2. Could I make some hybrid type engine just to get it going? The b2 got pulled due to a cracked head. Could I just use the b2 short block with all the z6 stuff bolted on it? Or can I put the b2 crank/rods/pistons in the z6 block? Any other thing i could do? Id rather not use the b2 block as it had 256k miles(z6 is at 160k) and has some pretty bad ring ridge going on. thanks

After more looking, the z6 is definitely not a 160k engine as seller described, once again, i got ripped off. Guess ill just have to buy a new short block. Going to find one at the junkyard cause then at least i can return it when it turns out to be total crap. Thrown 2k+ at a 300$ car and have ended up with a 400$ car

It will be worth it in the end. Just go with your idea of getting a engine from a local Junk Yard with a start up warranty.
