Dpfi to mpfi swap D15b7

I have a 1991 Honda Civic std and id like to get so better performance out of it. The previous owner put installed D15B7 engine and 5spd transmission from a 5th gen DX but, didn't swap to mpfi, leaving the old std dpfi setup and its pm9 ecu.

I have reed many dpfi to mpfi swap forums but should i get the obd0 4th gen Si parts (will they even work with this engine?) or should i upgrade to obd1 and get what the D15B7 engine came with?

You will be fine with the OBD0 Si parts.
It will work fine, but down the road if you decide to tune it, it will be easier to do with obd1. Much more support for obd1 than obd0
also how much would it cost to get these parts for the junkyard like the ecu, manifold with every thing on it, and the distribor.
That depends on the junk yard. Call and ask.

Good luck getting a good junk yard dizzy. Make sure it has the cap on it and the seal isn't dry or broken. If so the sensors in their are probably damaged, if cap is tight and well sealed its a good bet. I'd take the cap off and look at it before you buy it though.
If the Si dizzy was bad could i use one from a 5th or 6th gen odb1 dizzy and still run obd0?
I don't want to spend to extra money to convert to obd1 untill i have to.
No, the distributor you use has to be of the same obd as as the ecu
ok so i when to the junk yard and all i found was a 91 ex automatic with a d16a6 eninge so i couldn't do the mpfi swap but i did get the cam but i couldn't find the y8 gear yall were talking abt so i just grabed the a6 gear y wont it work (or will it)? also if i do get an adjustable cam gear what will i have to set it to?
The a6 cam gear won't work for thst mini me. You need to get the above mentioned gear for the "y-series engines, d16y7/d16y8/etc"

You should also degree the cam with a dial gauge and perfectly align your timing. There are a ton of good write ups on this. Honda Tuning did one just a couple months ago it should be on their web page. Everyone's setup is different so it is important to set you timing for your set up. After you figure out where to put your cam you can use that as a reference point to tune the cam timing from. Advancing to move your power band down the rpms, and retarding to move the power band up.
