Door will not open

My most challenging problem on my 95 del sol was the drivers door would not open from the inside or out, tried everything imaginable but with the door closed of coures you can not get the interior panel off and could not get to the latch assy. Finally drastic action was required. I'll post a picture of where the interior frame must be removed in order to get to the latch hook.

Not sure if you had the same problem as me. But when I took the door panel off the rod wasn't staying inside the latch because the rod was being held on by tape and broke off. If the rod isn't staying inside the latch, get some new rod clips. Hope this helps.

It is fixed now, the problem was the latch assy itself. There was a spring that broke and fell off. If you see the 2 hooks on the left side of the assy. There was supposed to be a spring to draw the 2 mechinisms together

When in doubt swap doors and retain your locks.
In the future, rip the fucking door panel off instead of cuting sheet metal.

A few broken clips is a far easier thing to repalce than anything else.

Honda made things very simple.

Especially when all you had to do was remove the interior door handle, get the backing piece off, and use a long screwdriver to slap the latch and open it.
