Your gonna need bigger injectors then 420's if you plan on making 500hp, also a 70mm tb on a y8 itm wont really work unless it is getting ported which will be kinda big!!!

for 500whp, you may want to look into sleeves..............just a thought though. Im sure the stock sleeves will support it for a while if the tune is good, but i wouldnt imagine them holding for long.

I would also look into upgrading/modifying the oil pump so you get plenty of flow and not throw a rod bearing.............www.theoldone.com has a diy on how to mod it yourself, and you seem pretty knowledgable so im sure you wont have any problem with it.

I didnt see anything about a higher output fuel pump either, and with the power you plan to make, that is almost a must!!

And lastly, i dont see ANYTHING about tuning. This is what will make or break your setup so i HIGHLY reccomend that you do lots of research on it and find someone locally (unless you know how to do it) that is an excellent tuner. You are going for a very high hp goal and you will need to find someone capable of tuning it comfortably. Look into hondata, crome, crome pro, and uberdata. the order i reccomend them are hondata, crome pro, crome, and uberdata. The only catch with hondata is it is $400 with boost option. Crome pro is $150, and the other 2 are free.

Oh yeah, one last thing, your injectors are WAY to small. they will max out at about 250-280 whp i would imagine. for 500hp i would look into some 1000cc's...............

And i have only seen one d-series do over 500whp, and it can be located at www.turbod16.com

i bought two sets the others are 550s and i designed a tapered adapter for the throttle body to increase intake velocity for lower rpms so it should wrap a little faster to decrease in turbo lag and im sure the biggest part of this battle will be getting the fuel map and timing curve figured out but the AEM ems that i just ordered should be a little more user freindly, its also getting methanol injected to keep intake temps down and and increase spool.

the problem with the oil pump is if you notice the companys ive bought from are kind of generic the only reason i went with the eagle is because i have a turbocharged 78 malibu that makes 1400 whp its fuel injected with bigstuff 3 ems the companys ive chosen are somewhat new to imports but pioneers of domestic HP and ive struggled to find a aftermarket oil pump, the fuel pump is a whallbro 255gph but im not sure if it support anything over 500cc injectors

what are the specs on the t3/t4. it better be a big mother to get you the 500whp efficently................

the aem ems will be perfect for management. The 550's still arent big enough for 500whp, they are good to around 350whp give or take......

you are running a ported head, so that will help alot with the lag, i dunno about the tapered TB though , ive never heard of it being effective enugh to noticably decrease lag. Try running open DP or a 3" exhaust (or even bigger if you can get it to fit). that should also help decrease lag time.

methanol injection will be a must if you run on pump gas for that amount of power. If you have never tuned before, i would reccomend finding someone to do it for you, especially with the numbers you are looking for. To get 500whp, you will have to have a very effective/efficent tune that will make the absolute most out of what you have. Thats just a reccomendation though. If you feel comfortabel doing the tuning yourself, then by all measn go for it. :TU:

the 255lph (you said gph, are you sure its rated in gallons?) should be big enough, but you will need a high pressure pump. Im not sure which you have, but you will def. need the high pressure unit with an adjustable fpr.

post it in the showcase section so we can keep this thread open to help you out............Im sure you will get more posts about your beastly malibu than about your d-series build, so you might wanna just post a new thread for it in the showcase section.

you need to use the url link instead of the html tag from photobucket................

when you post click on the insert image button and copy/paste the url.
