i could buy an inside jaw side hammer tool/blind bearing kit.. $80. last resort.

anyone have any DIY tricks? my first thought was to shave down some wood, stuff it in, soak it and pull...

maybe shave a washer into a rectangle and prop that in there with a bolt/nut threaded through it.

It's recomended to use the proper bearing puller, I was able to get mine out with a slide hammer. I woulden't trust that to work 100% of the time though.

ISB can be tapped out by going from the outside of the case (wehre the clutch sits) and tapping it towards the interior of the tranny.

As for the needle bearing, no idea, thats the last thing I need to remove from this tranny case...

i used a slide hammer last time... worked like a charm...
too bad im not in that shop anymore. hehe


ill try tapping it from the inside of the bell housing. good idea. im replacing the seal too so that shouldnt be an issue
im just worried the opening wont be big enough. but ill try!
