Besides the flanges being different, is there a difference between a t3 and a t4 exhaust housings on a turbo? For example if you have a precision 6262 with a t3 .82 A/R would it spool any faster, slower or make any more or less power than a t4 .81 A/R? or would they be about the same?

The T3 .82AR is physically a lot smaller than the T4 .81AR. It will spool faster and have less puff in the top end. Although an .82AR T3 is already large for a D16.

Sorta off topic, but why the hell does everyone call ebay turbo's "t3t4"???
Same reason every car part has jdm in the name.

They don't know any better and believe it sells more.

Then I have seen someone call a t3 turbo a t3/t4 because the bolts didn't line up for a t3 or t4 so they thought it was in between but it was just miss drilled.

It describes the entire turbo.

I have a T4 on my 2jz, a T3 on my Ford, and will have a T3/T4 on the Civic.

It describes the frame size of the turbo. Thats why you will never find a small t6 turbo and even t4s are noticeably bigger than a t3 turbo.
