Delta Cam group buy.

Through a little inspiration from another cam group buy we had on a d-series, as well as my own satisfaction with Delta cams, I decided to talk to Jon over at Delta and see if he would be interested in having a group buy for us as well. There is a lot of love for Delta and I thought it would be cool if we could introduce that to others that might be interested as well. After a few emails back and forth he decided to go for it.

FWIW, Jon did not contact me for this. I contacted him and talked to him about giving d-series members this kind of deal after the good results I have had with their cams. He didn't have to do this for us, so keep any negative comments out of this thread.

So here it is, the group buy will run until the end of December.

" D "ecember group buy

This is a one time deal, Super discounted prices

the regular SOHC cam non vtec reg $93.50 sale $73.50
SOHC vtec stage 1 or 260 grind reg $135 sale $93.50

All purchases require your cores to be sent in, please print the OP and list your complete return shipping address and contact number so we can call for billing info.
Instead of holding the cores until we have a run of them, we will be grinding them as they come in, usually same day turn around.

For an additional $10 I will video your actual cam being ground and post it to Youtube under your name and give you a shirt and stickers. Please write that you want the video package when you send in your cam (s) for grinding.
Interest or questions can be posted in this thread.

or you can PM him on here

Another addition:
Ryan feel free to add this to the original post!!!!!

Like a lot of you I was a bit more interested in a slightly more agressive cam, after some pm'ing back and forth with custom import heads, he said he is willing to offer a 272-2 for the same price as the 272. The 272-2 is a bisi 2.4 clone.....so if your like me you will be sending your cam in for some delta love

Tell your freinds, if they make 100 sales then the price will stay for 2011

any vids of these cams
What kind of vids do you want? I can probably dig one up of my 12.8 run with their a6 272. Nothing extremely special, but I did run that while breaking my 3-4 shift fork lol.

Idle vids? Don't know if I ever made one but both my 272(VTEC and non) idled like stock.
sign me up! how many for a group buy? non vtec cam at a fixed price? wanting to get a 272/282
I'll let Jon chime in with specifics on cams ;)
Is there anything above the 272 for the sohc vtec?
There were a few members on here that had Jon do a 272/282 combo for the VTEC cams. Might want to contact him to get the details. I only went with the 272
I've been debating on this and I think this just made up my mind! Do we need a minimum or do we just start sending cams in? Great deal! Also, What does print the OP mean? original post?
You should be able to send them in now. OP does mean original post(the quoted part)

i may be interested in a couple cams, i think jon should post the specs on the cams that are eligable for the group buy i think it will save a lot of questions
You are 100% correct, I'll shoot him a message to check it out and clarify everything.
wow killer prices!! def. interested in a 272 for a z6.. how do these compair to the bisi 2.4 or 3.6?
Nobody has done back to back comparisons. Bisi cams are definitely badass, but Delta is definitely bang for your buck
ryan what do they have on the SHOC non-vtak! i have a 272 already what other bigger cams do they have?
non VTEC can be ground to 282(I have one in my shop). Don't know if they can be even more aggressive than that though.
Stupid Question I'm sure but here goes... With a 272 re-ground cam for a Z6 (Vtec) will I have to replace my valve springs with stiffer ones? I will only be going up to 8k under boost...
I would upgrade springs when going above the stock rev limit. I run Iskendarian springs with my 272 z6, so far they have been awesome!

SO I just need to send my core, with the OP print and all my return info and they will call and set up payment?
That's exactly what I did :TU:
Pmed..Hopefully we can work something out. Damn Iraq LOL:wacko:
Hey LMK what you need. If you want, I can do the shipping and whatnot for you kind of like our clutch deal. PM me if you want to talk about it.
So is this still going on?
Reading comprehension > you
I run Iskys with my Delta 272 and rev to 8200 every time I drive it :p

I'm positive I could rev higher but I have no need to.
Do you offer any bisi 1.2 d16z6 clones?
Just run a 272, they work well :TU:
Is there a differance between the 272 and the 272-2?
Did you read the thread?
I'm pretty sure I know what it is :)

I'm pretty sure he meant z6
Really? You ordered/paid for them but Comp has enough sway to pretty much veto you?
Got 2 b18b1 camshafts on the way. Delta said same price as a dual cam zc. Thanks!
Hey Jon I need to talk to you about a custom cam. I'll text you after the holidays and we can talk. I wanna try something different ;)
