hey just a couple questions about swapping this cam into my d15b non-vtec,

would i need to change to aftermarket valves and retainers if i'm only reving to 7000 rpm?

can i use a d16y8 headgasket on my d15b non-vtec?

what camgear to use to correct timing?

Yes you can use the Y8 head gasket. I don't believe you need a different cam gear than your stock one. What cam do you plan on sending Delta?

i was going to send in my d15b non-vtec cam since i just swapped in my a6 cam...so if i put in a y8 head gasket, that should bump my compression up a little too shouldnt it?

Go for 282 with some tuning, get a set of little bit stronger valve spring and retainer, and if you have money and time, 3 angles valve cut, and some heardwork, like porting, polishing and milling.

From what I have heard the Y8 head gasket is the thinnest head gasket Honda makes for a SOHC. This head gasket will raise compression but exactly how much I'm not sure.
