Del Sol EG2 B16 intake pipe longer than D16?

573 Views 7 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  transzex
So in my quest to make my build look OEM I've been thinking to get a B16A2 intake pipe/hose to my TB to make it look OEM
Now I have a Skunk2 Pro series intake manifold so the TB is farther back, closer to the firewall.
From images it looks like the B16A2 intake pipe is slightly longer than the D16

My question now is, will this fit or would I have to modify it somewhat?

I hope you guys can help me with this

My car is a Del Sol with a d16z6 all motor, stock airbox and I'm trying to make it look OEM.

you need a slatertake, it can be adjusted for either motor.

A what now? I've never heard of that
Buy a piece of 3" pipe and cut to fit. Greg Slater (B16 Del Sol) is who did the writeup also designed the FLP Shifter

The issue I have is that it actually needs to look OEM. Strict tuning and all that jazz. If I cut up a 3" pipe they'll notice. I have a 3" silicone 45° bend as my intake right now. It works and fits but it defenitely is not stock looking. I need something that looks stock, even if the diameter is somewhat reduced since I'll only put it on for MOT purpouses
The link is 20+ years old, I can't help that.
