As the title says.......I want to improve the rod stroke ratio on an A6, what is involved in decking the block? How much material to add?

I have already purchased a block with this done, but I dont know anything about the process or what is actually involved.

Anybody with tech information on this process, and what it does?

As to the above ^^.....I already have the block, decked, notched, and sleeved.....I paid 1000.00 for it. Professional job done by a local machine/engine builder shop.

I just have to figure out what pistons and rods to use now, I am searching for info on the process of decking.

so what will your final displacement be when you are done. do you have a set goal.

Thats what I am unsure of on the block I purchased....Im in the process of working all the specifics out with the builder I got it from....more info to come.
