is it possible to datalog with a normal usb cable??
if yes what should the pinouts look like???
i've the colours black, green, red, white, isolation

need a honda log or hulog to datalog

or if you are OG a nokia cell phone cable

I don't see the problem with it as long as you have a chipped ECU. Just get an old USB cable and cut off one end.

Here's the pinout, from Xenocron's website: http://www.xenocron.com/install/USB-Board.htm

You may have to look up the USB side online to see which wires are GND, TX, and RX.

EDIT: If you want to be fancy, keep the USB cable intact and just buy a female connector at an electronics store (example: http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/392290-conn-usb-rt-ang-recpt-type-b-blk-67068-8000.html). Then you just need to mount it and solder three wires in place.

The ECU uses TTL (transistor-transistor logic). The reason we use things like the old school nokia cable or Moates Hondalog/HULOG is because they have a TTL to USB converter built in.

So, NO, you cannot use just a plain USB cable to datalog.
