So i was gonna sell my 05 civic ex but decided that id deal with the pain of having a 127hp engine. Ive been contemplating what to do so that it actually can gain some hp and thought i should just run it by some ppl with d series engines. I was thinking of getting a STAGE 1 CAMSHAFT from CROWER, AEM V2 intake to start off with(not expecting much). Im not building it for racing, but i wouldnt mind to race on occasion :) its an automatic (which sucks) so down the road maybe supercharging it since turbos lag on autos. any thoughts, pointers for what i should do knowing this? is it even worth getting headers? i dont wanna swap either, not worth it to me considering the cost =]

if you just want some extra power do the no-brainers first:

intake header exhaust

level 1 cams are usually worthless and give you almost nothing for the $$$

if you can tune it somehow (wideband possibly or convert ecu) then after the i/h/e grab a bigger cam, level 2 crower or something comparable, some more compression by milling the head some, some stiffer valve springs for revs and of course dial it all in on a tune

im not a d17 ecu/tuning expert though so take this advice with a grain of salt
all of the above is just a beginners guide to making more n/a power

enjoy
