I am building my first z6 motor for turbo. I am looking for 400 hp. As of now I only have a sleeved block with 76mm bore. I also have a low milege stock head. My first task is to get the correct pistons and rods. I was thinking of getting vitaras (76mm) pistons. What rings would I use. Also, should I get eagle h-beam rods or are there other good quality rods that do not require notching and that I can safely use at 400 hp. I want to build it right the first time.

All the rods I know of would require notching. You could run some LS rods that dont require notching but you wouldnt get 400hp out of them. I would run some FJ rods and vitara's.

a eagle/wiseco set up would be great for you. notching is required, but you can find them at good prices and you will have plenty of potential left with them if you wanted to push more power.
