I have an autometer mechanical oil pressure guage hooked up to my d16z6 with the copper line. It seems to me that my oil pressure is really high. When I am cruising at 3000 rpms in any gear it goes to a bout 76 psi. That seems really high to me compared to my accord. My accord is at 76 psi at cold start and at wide open throttle. I have seen my z6 get a little higher than 80 psi at wide open throttle. On cold starts it is not unusual for it to see 100 psi. This is a 0-150 psi guage by the way. At idle it is between 20-25 psi. Anyone have any specs they could share with me on the oil pressure for this motor?

According to my Helms Manual 8-6,

When the oil is at 176F(80C) the specs are:
@ idle 10psi minimum
@ 3K rpm 50psi minimum
It does not give a spec at WOT though, and only minimum allowable oil pressures so I can't tell you if it's too high.

I agree Oil pressure between 80-90psi at WOT is good, for a pump that is 10-13yrs old.
