Hey Guys,

Quick question: Rebuilding my d16a6 block, got a z6 crank. I was told the specs are the same, and the spreadsheet I have says they are, except for the 1993 d16z6. The rod journal on the a6 crank has a diameter of 1.7707-1.7717 inches, and its the same for the 92,94, and 95 d16z6, but the specs on the 93 crank show a rod journal diameter of 1.6526-1.6535 inches. What gives, is this a different crankshaft for this model? I've measured my crank and have the correct journal measurments, but I want to know if that is a typo or something...

Thanks,

Brian

I hope so the z6 i'm rebuilding is from a 93 ex, and the rod journals spec'd out right in the middle of 1.7707-1.7717, can't remember exactly it was like 6 months ago, i can remeasure it tonight if need be
Nah you don't need to... When I picked up my z6 crank, I had the journals measured and they came out in between 1.7707-1.7717 as well... I was just slightly perturbed, being my spazzy self.

1.65xxx" = 42mm DX/CX/VX rod journal

just another typo.......
So this is common for Honda material to often have typos?
