Hello to everyone on d-series
i have a d16y5 on my 96 hx and i just discovered that my head is blown
so i was wondering if any of you could tell me
WHAT EXACTLY DO I NEED TO SWAP IN A D16Z6 HEAD ON MY D16Y5 BLOCK

will i need to swap my ecu? if so to what?

do i need to swap my engine wiring harness? if so to what?

what about my manifold and throttle body along with injectors?:wacko:

and the o2 sensors on my y5 they are 5 wire sensor do i need to change to
4 wire sensor to run this set up?

i appreciate all of you guys help i am a really new to hondas this is my first civic and i am really having fun with it so if you guys could please explain me how to do this swap the right way with details so i can understand you

well im guessing is blown because my car is smoking a bluish color while on and driving and when is stopped but on and it doesnt matter if its cold or warm
and i found oil on my muffler today so i just want to swap the head

so please i will like to know what exactly i need to do to swap it out

why not just bring the head to a shop to have it rebuilt?

because i dont want to spend over 400 bucks to get a head rebuild
if i can just swap in the z6 i have already and get maybe a little more perfomance
out of it and just have a mini me

sounds like u've got bad valve seals. shouldn't cost 400+ dollars to put those in. i just bought a set from my local honda dealership for my z6 for like $30
