i just bought this car two months ago.

a month ago after goin on a 3 hour journey topping it out at 110mph on flat i ended up very unhappy when i headed up a long but non steep incline. as i begame to go up the car slowed down alot all the way down to 80mph. i know i shouldn't be speeding but it was 2in the morning on route 17 if you know where that is. the reason why i want to get around this much hp (or even better whp) is because people in my town rag on me because i have a honda. so i want them to know that honda's can run too. i'm goin for naturally aspirated sleeper type. ok but my questions are.....

how should i start the owrk on the engine?

and i know i'm goin to have to do a few things to the transmission. what will that be?

i'm guessing you have a differnet 5th gear as well; z6 tranny isn't gonna make it to 130....
Probably, it's a totally different 'box. It's a P7, which is a cable tranny with a 4.437 FD stock.
If you have enough to buy a vette, you should have no problem making your D a killer.
then what tranny should i go with?
stick to your stock tranny; once you get a nice turbo kit, all you need is a good clutch and a LSD and you're set...

lmfao.. bullshit.. i had the speedo pointing straight down in my eh2 with a z6 trans.. very easily at that......

i would.. get a home made turbo kit.. you can find lots and lots and lots of info on here and at www.homemadeturbo.com

a complete hmt kit can cost around 600-1300 depending on what you get.. but you can have 180-240whp with that.. and run mid-low 13's with slicks easy...

you can build your motor for a good price.. look into tunertoys rods and vitara pistons.. there are plenty of people pushing 400whp with that setup on d motors.. just search around and ask questions about stuff your unsure with...

and have fun building your motor.. hondas are fun.. just gotta shut all the crap talkers up
NO no it shouldnt...no stock civic like that is gonna get there easily... if at all
im not sure what 120mph is in km but my 91 cx hb w d15b2(mpfi'd) with I/H/E and dx 5 speed tranny, although sad.....can do 200km/h in 4th gear without much issue.
You probably wont see much but that because I can't edit the lighting properly so fullscreen it.

But it shouldn't drop speed pulling a hill.

1 mph = 1.6 km/h

So 120 mph = 192 km/h
200 km/h = 125 mph

boost is the way to go. on a stock z6 in good conditon with under 1000 dollars 200, 210 or maybe even 220hp on a good tune can be made safely. you cant beat that

right but my old mercury tracer and honda prelude could get there with all of the right circumstances and a big enough stretch of road. that doesnt mean that they did it easily, nor should they be going that fast.
A built turbo Z6 can make 300 hp. If you want NA, you need to swap in a K, and build it all motor. There are a few in the 300-310 WHP range NA, butyour probably talking about a 20K+ motor.

Corvettes aren't that expensive. BTW, by spending everything you have on a corvette doesn't mean you can afford a corvette, it just means you can't manage money.

I topped my 94' Civic coupe with a D16Z6 out at 205 kilometers/hr. and all ive got is a header...
my d15b7 with i/h/e will hit speed limiter without a problem and thats 120. also in 4th. my d16z6 would easily peg out the speedo without a problem.
yeah but you have to remember his is a stock Z6 none of the I/H/E or anything. I mean ive only got a header and im hitting 205k/h but yeah it does seem like he is losing a few ponies with his car, he should easily be able to hit 120 with that z6 hes got
I looked in your Sig and it said you had an automatic trans... That would kill a few MPH.
On my STOCK D15B7 I hit 120mph.

As for 300hp, NO way N?A, and you're going to have to do a decent amount of research to make a turbo kit.

You say you're in Westchester... Is that Westchester NY?
If so, that car looks damn familiar, did you buy it in the New Rochelle/ Larchmont area and did it come with 15"rims.
Shoot me a PM, if you're in NY, I might be able to give you a ride in a Turbo Civic and give you some pointers... The people that rag on you for driving a honda haven't met me and a few of my friends... ;-)
like it has been stated, you need to figure out a realistic plan for what ET you would like to run and the budget.

c5 corvettes can be had for under 20k . . .

If you want a 300whp sleeper, an N/A motor sure isn't going to sound it.

Spray it or boost it.
this guy is a retard.

all money and no brains? cant even find the search button.
ok how about this i'm aiming to beat a sti. n/a or turbo?
