i just bought this car two months ago.

a month ago after goin on a 3 hour journey topping it out at 110mph on flat i ended up very unhappy when i headed up a long but non steep incline. as i begame to go up the car slowed down alot all the way down to 80mph. i know i shouldn't be speeding but it was 2in the morning on route 17 if you know where that is. the reason why i want to get around this much hp (or even better whp) is because people in my town rag on me because i have a honda. so i want them to know that honda's can run too. i'm goin for naturally aspirated sleeper type. ok but my questions are.....

how should i start the owrk on the engine?

and i know i'm goin to have to do a few things to the transmission. what will that be?

I think so, dude it is easy to make 130 with a d16z6 engine but after than you get into internals and all that stuff. Weight reduction is the best thing you can do to a honda to make it go faster. WHP doesnt directly equal speed.
aim for an ET not HP, your better off with a ET goal...it all depends, shoot for low 14's mand u be respectable all motor...Big Tuna runs 13.6's in the quarter in a CRX on slicks...but dont aim that low cause that took some doing to get there, first thing is to raise ur compression, more agressive cam, and a good 2.25 or 2.5 exhaust...ITB's if u want to take this seriously, and the typical bolt ons, throttle body, headers, intake Hondata spacer for the IM...
Honda pact i dont think he realizes the cost of that. Look around the site first. ITB's are great but will cost a fortune if you cant tune/have no idea wtf your doing. Good luck.
buy a really big turbo.

that would be the most logical thing for that kind of power but this is in the N/A section ;)

Cough 13.50's :)
No offense, but if it won't go past 110 there are a few dead horses under that hood. It should quite easily break 125. Does it pull hard past 5500rpm or does it fall on its face at high rpm ? If so, Vtec might not be actuating.

Anyway, you can make 140-150whp from that engine N/A without spending your life savings. That equals approx. 160-180hp at the crank. It'll still run well into the four digits $$$ wise.

NO no it shouldnt...no stock civic like that is gonna get there easily... if at all

My Concerto does 130+ on the speedometer with ease and it's 150-200lbs heavier. And that's with a sohc non-vtec zc. It does have a gearbox that's a tad shorter, I'm at the redline at that kinda speed.

Hondata gasket isn't dyno proven. It could be easier cool intake in a shorter lap of time , but remember that, studs, coolant to TB, coolant to the heater passing trough the intake keep the intake warm. The only thing I see to buy this gasket is about it's reusable.
ok one cost doesn't matter. i made more then enough money to go out and buy a corvette if i wanted to. but i can't afford insurance on it since i'm only 19. i don't want to swap motors or anything like that.
I'm gonna go w/ everyone else and say you need to set a REASONABLE ET goal... or if you really want some power; get boosted!

i'm guessing you have a differnet 5th gear as well; z6 tranny isn't gonna make it to 130....
then what tranny should i go with?

corvette insurance is cheap... and if you cant afford insurance in monthly payments on somethin like that... then you definately cant afford to build a quick NA honda

i know it's not cheap. i have more then enough to buy one but i can't afford the insurance if i get one thats why i'm not goin to. but i changed my mind on the NA engine it's just much easier to turbo it.
i meant is cheap...
