did you do the factory idle re-learn as per the manual?
Yes I've done that but still nothingdid you do the factory idle re-learn as per the manual?
And I've checked for vacuum leaks and it doesn't have anyWow, I forgot to even include the IACV.
remove the IACV, unplug the fuel injectors and unplug the distributor. Now have a buddy crank the engine over while you feel for vacuum where the IACV was mounted.
Dont let the injectors or distributor get powered up, no need to have the engine cold rev to the moon.
That's the way I usedwhat was your method for checking for vacuum leaks?
Mine, if its not a fancy car, is to use carb cleaner or brake cleaner and listen for the revs to increase
I'll try that today I'll let you know what happensThen I would remove the belt, fire up car, see if it idles low. if it does, remove the brake booster vacuum line or the PCV line and see if it idles up.
If it doesnt even try to get up to 3k rpm or so, then your motor is fucked. Something is creating a ton of friction, or timing is so bad that the engine is fighting itself and is trying to fire way out of cycle.
Take teh distributor cap off and make sure the disty rotor is facing #1 cylinder with the cam gear lined up
Something is not right, or something was way overloooked. happens to anyone
