have a 2000 civic coupe with a d16y8 that i done a 5 speed swap on. is there anyway to chip up the factory obd II computer? would like to see about getting the vtec to come in at a little lower rpm. also, what is the max rpm that i should turn this motor? motor is all stock but would like to get just a little bit more out of it na.

how much effort have you put into looking for the information on "chipping an obd-2b ecu"?

i did serch it and found some of my info but also has some other question in that post. that is the reason i posted it in the forum.

That's my new signature.

I have found the best way to chip an OBD2 is to buy an OBD2 to OBD1 harness adapter and then slap the appropriate ECU on the end of it.

Then I usually take the OBD2 ECU and sell it on eBay and buy a taco or an oil filler cap with the money.

Seriously...that's my new signature.
