Sup D-Series. I was looking at an old post on another site and they said by swapping pistons from d16y8 to d16a1 you can get a 12.8:1 CR. The guy does the swap but towards the end falls off. I have a spare d16y8 engine so I wouldn't mind playing around with it but can anyone really confirm this?

Thx man. I checked it out n asked him sum questions about it. It really doesnt gimme the answer I'm lookin for but he's got sum good stuff on his site.

A couple posts above this is a discussion on compression calculators. google "zeal auto works compression calculator" You should be able to take it from there. Just know that you CAN'T use a stock ecu. Good luck! I am also in the midst of a Y8 build...taking the block to a machinist this week....

yeah i was gonna do the same and have it machined once i get pistons. i was talking to someone on hondahookup.com n he also told me i needed to change the ecu. i was gonna jus spend the money on a AEM cuz its interchangeable. whut r u palnning on using?
