Just bought a 98 civic ex motor is a D16Y8.
This is the first car I will build, I don't really have the knowledge in building cars, I build 700-1000hp diesels. But I'm giving this a go.
Looking to put this car around 370-400hp
I have a 63/68 borg turbo on the shelf that I'll be using. I have the motor torn down, the crank has a pretty good groove on the #1 rod. So I'm sure I'll be needing a new crank, other than that everything looks good.
I'm looking for a build sheet or parts list to put me around that horsepower. I don't need to know you need money to build them, but instead tell me what I can do to put it as a reliable daily driver. Thanks

For a minute I thought you were my brother... We just bought a 98 civic ex D16Y8 for our first build as well. But he's not a diesel mechanic :)

From the research I have done so far it's very possible to do 350+ with minimal engine work.

Reborn is right, searching for Vitara piston build is a good start.

You aren't anywhere near Chicago are you?

Good Luck with your build!
