hey I'm going to be swapping out my d15b7 for a d16y8 i will be totally rebuilding sometime soon and i plan on converting to obd1. I've been searching with no luck for a DIY for the wiring that needs to be done to convert to obd1 and what can be kept from the d15b7 in terms of electrical. If anyone can point me in the right direction other than the search tab it would be much appreciated.

Your from Canada :)

Ask me how I know.

Keep your D15B7 dizzy and it'll bolt right up to the Y8. If your CX is a OEM D15B7, slap in a P28 ecu, add the two VTEC wires and be done.

D16Yx motors use the smaller nonVTEC bolt pattern.

the 92-95 EX/VX where the bastard childs.

Easy swap. 3-4 feet of speaker wire, two ECU pins, the connect the the VTEC solenoid and pressure switch.
