Ive got a d16y8 motor that i want to put in my hatch (1991 std). Can i just take the dist, intake manifold and slap it on there until next week? I need it for my dd and i dont think ill have time to wire vtec and mpfi over this week.

yeah u will be fine except ur gonna have to add the wires and plug for the coolant sensor on the thermo housing

and it will run but not sure how good on the pm6 ecu

you won't be able to swap over the distributor because its 0bd2..
& your ecu is 0bd0...
just put your (91 std -dizzy in the y8 head)
& do you have mpfi or dpfi?

just go ahead & keep your manifold too... (if you have dpfi)

so basically all your swapping would be the block & head...

edit:
sorry I just noticed the title... you said d15b2 manifold...
so basically keep your manifold... you'll have to do a mpfi swap to use the y8's mani...

So if i swap to mpfi, can i use the si ecu and si dist to run the d16y8?

Ok, thats what ill do i guess.
will the d16y8 dizzy work with the si ecu?

wait i thought u were using the obd0 dizzy and intake and installing them on the y8 and then swaping latter when u did the swap?

hmmm.... thats what he should do... & thats what I suggested him to do...
but now that I read his first post over & put it in them words...
it kinda sounds like what you just described...
