Hey guys, quick question.

I think the block on my d16y7 has thrown a rod bearing. Instead of having a machine shop have a go at the block, I wanna check my options.

It is OBD2b, and I'm curious if I can mate an older OBD1 D16's block to my y7's head without throwing a code? Is there any new sensors on the OBD2 blocks have that the OBD1 blocks didn't already have or would it be good to go?

This would greatly help me.

So if I throw the a6 block into my car, which is a 99, I won't run into any OBD2 error codes? My #1 thing is I wanna pass emissions, but the only thing I'm worried about is the code throwing. If yes I can without issue, then oh baby.

since you have a y7 get yourself either another y7 y8 or a6 bottom end use all the sensors and emissions equipment from your y7 motor and wal-lah od2b you could even change the head and add vtec ..........there are also a few other minor mods for that to werk
