Sorry for making so many posts, I promise I'm searching my ass off before posting. So I did a y8 intake manifold swap onto my y7 the other day and my idle is about 2k rpms constantly. It eventually drops to 1100 and to keep the story short it seems like this is a common problem in this swap. I'm pretty sure, after reading, that it's because the manifold that I got was from a 99 - 00? (Only speculation from what I've read) how can I figure out what year this came out of and what do I do about it? I read jb weld the air assist ports closed?

So I was scrolling through the DIY stuff and I randomly came across a post about air injection and sure enough it answered my question. So instead... how do you get that damn bottom nut on?

Feel like I'm just shitposting now by posting so much but was I supposed to use the d16y8 intake mani gasket from the 99 - 00? Or was there a different one that would've maybe blocked those air assist ports off?
