Just doing a little work to my AUDM, D16Y4. wanna raise the compression a bit, but to a safe stage where i can still use 95 octane. I wanna keep the compression around the 11 - 11.5:1 mark, so im pretty sure if i use PM6 pistons, 2-layer hg, head milled 0.040", i should come close to that CR..

But here's the dealio, i dont know much about the Y4, only that it has 9.4:1 compression ratio. I dont know piston to deck clearance, all those values that help to properly calculate the CR of what im after.

thought about P29's, would be a smasher nice setup, but its a DD & gotta be run on pump fuel...

DONT get P29's. Stick with the PM6 or GX pistons, much better overall perfromance.

Aussie 95 octane fuel will handle 12-12.5 to 1 compression with no problems if you get tuned correctly I run my D series on E10 with 12.5 to 1 with no problems at all and I am still using STD cam and this setup does 700klms per week.
