I just picked up a D16A6 that I'm rebuilding for my 90 Civic DX. I'm taking the block to be hot tanked and have the cylinders honed. My question is about pistons. I see that people are using the D16A6 crank and rods with PM7 pistons to boost compression. It looks like a lot of people are using the D16Z6 head. My question is can I use my A6 head with the PM7 pistons to achieve higher then stock compression. I'm totally new to Hondas, my kid bought a 90 hatch and I loved the way it's put together and the way it handles, so I bought one too. I want a little more horsepower and reliability without droppin major money on exotic parts. Thanks in advance for the help.
