Hey guys,

Does anyone know if a set of D16a6 pistons will fit in a D15b7 engine? I have been told they both have a 75mm bore, but the stroke is 90mm on the D16a6, where it is only 84.5mm on the D15b7. Is the pin position in the piston the same? Is there a problem with clearence? Will the wrist pins fit or do I need to have the rods opened up or insert bushings? What will the impact on compression be with a standard D15b7 head, assuming the pistons will work. Or, is this a bad idea all the way around?

Thanks.

it is a bad idea all around, pin size , rings and bore is identical and it will fit..

but the d16 due to its stroke and rod length has a higher pin location...

the wud sit about 3 happy millimiters below the deck...

now thats superkalifragilisticsuperLOW comp hehehe

Would be good for boost though.

they would only sit 1.2mm below deck (A6 pistons in B7)

which just happens to be how much the compression would drop, 1.2 points.
