captain obvious has spokenD blocks are some of the strongest stock blocks. If you plan on sprayin just get pistons with good rings and some strong rods, block will take care of itself.
if you got a b-series and are building a nice n/a set up then yea sleeves would be a good option but we had a 13:1b20vtec we just had rod's and pistons in no stock sleeves running to this day my boys b20vtec ef been raced to shit for 3 years it was at 11:1 seen 8700daily finally died do to a spun rod but after 3years of abusenot true..high enough compression and revs require sleeving, or at least posting your block
