I wonder if anyone might know what would be involved in using a D15B7 TD41u distributor to replace the original Td-20u D16A6 Distributor (cant find a replacement)...I have the OBDO plugs still, can I simple connect them onto the TD41? any advise appreciated..

are you familiar with google? please search d15b7 distributor on d16a6

the cylinder head is identical. the d15b7 distributor WILL bolt up 100% to the head

the distributor internally is not. you cannot mix and match OBD1 and OBD0 guts.

whats wrong? random engine kill? ICM is most likely culprit. all Hitachi modules are garbage and have limited lifespan the first time they encounter worn out plugs, shitty wires, or a bad conenction. Else they last a long time. Consider "brittle" a good observation of them.

ICM = Ignition Control Module

I tried to disassemble the old dizzy but its so old and corroded up its impossible to get it apart. so I was thinking to try to use the TD41 body with the td2 guts..
